Why was this initiative launched?
“Business debit cards you don't issue in large numbers and certainly not to every employee. This is because they have a bank account or spending limit attached to them and that involves contracts and agreements. The alternative is to use cash and small coffers or let employees advance business expenses. But the latter creates all sorts of phantom declarations, fraud and also administrative hassle. SimpledCard is not linked to an individual bank account, but can be used like a normal bank card. The great strength of SimpledCard is that it is a recognisable, user-friendly and secure way of paying for users.”
What are the key facts about SimpledCard?
“SimpledCard is a service provider of MasterCard and offers payment cards that can be used worldwide. SimpledCard launched in early 2015 and can already count several notable companies as customers. SimpledCard is available from five users for almost all businesses in the Netherlands.
Passes you issue to your employees without the intervention of a bank. This means no hassle with forms and more control, as an organisation can view all transactions in real time and manage spending limits itself.”
Who is involved in SimpledCard?
“SimpledCard has teamed up with Amsterdam's software developer GlobalOrange developed. They developed the online platform, including modules for fraud detection, the mobile app, among others, and also take care of the integration of SimpledCard with various financial software packages.”
