SimpledCard and Adyen partner to issue business payment cards for SMEs

SimpledCard is expanding our integrated system of payment cards and expense management with Adyen as a new card issuer.

For over a year, we’ve worked with Adyen to become a new card issuer and our internal pilot is nearing completion.

All core functionalities have been successfully proven and, while some extra capabilities will be added, the new cards are now available for testing by the first customers. The next phase will begin soon and we will provide updates to our customers along the way.

More payment and product benefits for our customers

SimpledCard chose to expand with Adyen Card Issuing because:

❯ New card options: The new cards smartly combine the benefits of Maestro acceptance at POS and the added functionality and acceptance of Mastercard cards. With an eye on the phase-out of the Maestro brand in the Netherlands that will take place over the coming years, this will offer our customers a seamless transition.

❯ Easier transfers: Transfers to the new master balance will be easier for most customers as corresponding bank accounts are here in the Netherlands.

❯ Continued trust: Adyen is a trusted name in payment processing. With a European banking license and established infrastructure, we can continue to ensure compliance with regulations, as well as meeting industry standards, for our customers.

Not to mention, Adyen and SimpledCard share similar beginnings, both being founded in Amsterdam.
