URETEK is a specialist in subsoil stabilisation and lifting of subsided concrete floors and structural elements with expansion resin. By targeted injection, the subsoil is compacted and, where the construction allows, the element is lifted in a controlled manner; subsoil improvement is possible up to a depth of approximately 6 metres. Projects range from infra (rail, bus lanes, roads) and industry/logistics (halls, warehouses) to residential construction. The resin cures in seconds, floors are immediately loadable again and work can take place in the evening or at night if required; this minimises downtime in a construction project.
The working day at URETEK starts early. Teams plan routes, for example starting in Utrecht on Monday and continuing to Breda with an overnight stay. Within the Benelux, hotel stays are normal for longer distances. Along the way, refuelling is done and often overnight stays at Van der Valk, usually on invoice, with a card if necessary.
Before the switch, URETEK worked with separate credit cards and paper receipts. At the end of the month, there was a pile on the desk. Dianne says: “End of the month wasn't always fun.” Receipts were sometimes pasted on an A4 to be scanned and then booked manually. This took a huge amount of time.
We are masters of our own money. If someone on an exchange needs a higher limit, we arrange it in minutes.
Since switching to SimpledCard, every expense goes through one card and the receipt is recorded directly in the app. For field staff, the routine is clear: pay, photo, brief explanation. Jean puts it this way: “The biggest difference? We do less administration and just more control. That makes the work not only faster, but also more fun.”
During peaks, the limit can be temporarily raised and then it is automatically reset. In practice, this proves crucial for trade fairs and hotel bills. Jean gives an example: a hotel bill of over 1,000 euros was paid without any problems after finance raised the limit in a few minutes. Previously, colleagues looked at each other: “Who still has enough on his card for the bill?” Now no one has to puzzle with multiple cards.
Employees record the receipt directly in the app after each purchase. This eliminates the risk of lost receipts and creates a calm cadence during the week. Dianne: “Now I can check receipts in between. If I have half an hour I just dive into SimpledCard.” In case of loss or a suspicious debit, the employee himself blocks the card in the app. SimpledCard's Support team is ready with a regular contact for periodic check-ins.
